BRAND: PETITE ALBION

Petite Albion produce super cool, colourful and soft merino wool baby and children's clothes.

Everything is hand made in the UK, plus they run workshops for vulnerable women, teaching them how to knit.  I recently went to their studio in South East London to have a look at their awesome new collection.

NAME OF BRAND/COMPANY: Petite Albion

DATE IT WAS FOUNDED: December 2012

BY WHOM IT WAS FOUNDED: Bronwen Campbell-Golding and Fanny Santini

WHY WAS IT CREATED: We created Petite Albion while studying a Masters in textile design at Chelsea college of Art and Design. Petite Albion was born from a shared love of great design and high quality craftsmanship, and a passion for childrenswear.

In addition to the brand we run workshops in partnership with charities arround London. We teach workshops to vulnerable women, teaching them how to knit but more importantly providing them with a space where they can exchange ideas, skills, and experiences.

WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR BRAND:We are passionate about making things here in the UK, for the production of our collection we work with a team of home knitters in Kent and a small factory in Leicester. Our signature is fun, playful design with super soft yarns, lots of pompoms and colours which can be worn by boys and girls alike.

WHAT WE SHOULD BUY FROM YOU: Our hand knitted booties are our best seller, they are ideal for a present for a newborn, and they come in  a super cute box :)
